Lesley Cheam Wei Yeng, a recent winner as Miss Universe Malaysia 2022 is collaborating with Malaysian Humanitarian Foundation (MHF) to celebrate World Kindness Week starting this Monday, 7 November 2022 and that will end on Sunday, 13 November 2022.
MHF is a catalyst and an enabler non profit tax exempted organization since 1996. MHF wishes to bring together 5% of the people in Malaysia to volunteer sustainably and dynamically by 2030. MHF are with a variety of projects that are linked to people with special needs, animal protections and the environment/cleanups that the volunteers can choose to participate by themselves or with a family and friends or as a company etc. While we are trying to bring about for more volunteer works and activities with our community partners, we also understand that many people in Malaysia today are also facing challenges with their mental health and mental being.
MHF that is to help as like its motto “To Strengthen A Caring Culture & Society”. We hope we can in a small way help to see more caring and kindness acts. If more people gives, more people will receive. If no one gives, then no one will also receive. The need for more acts of selflessness and empathetic leadership needs to be at play. We hope that this World Kindness Day (WCD) celebration on Sunday, 13 November 2022 is one of the major milestones to help encourage all Malaysian to come together every year and to celebrate this special and needed day and week.
